QWIC Research & Innovation

Research is integral to QWIC’s mission. Our faculty and students tackle cutting-edge problems in cybersecurity through dedicated initiatives and collaboration.

AI & Cybersecurity:

Developing machine learning algorithms to detect threats, analyze network anomalies, and build intelligent security systems.

Cloud & Infrastructure Security:

Securing cloud platforms, virtualization environments and distributed systems against advanced attacks.

Digital Forensics:

Investigating cybercrime by recovering and analyzing digital evidence, including malware analysis, network logs and mobile forensics.

Secure Systems Design:

Architecting robust, secure hardware and software systems (e.g. IoT security, cryptographic hardware, blockchain).

Innovation Centre:

Our on-campus innovation hub supports student capstone projects, hackathons and start-up incubation. Students prototype cybersecurity tools and collaborate on entrepreneurial ventures under mentorship.

Collaborative Projects:

We partner with leading universities and industry on joint grants. Faculty publish in top journals and conferences, and supervise student-led research. All students undertake a final-year research project to prepare for careers or further study.

QWIC is committed to translating research into impact, fostering an ecosystem where innovation thrives alongside education.
